North Cove is pleased to announce Mrs. Tracey Moss as the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Moss has served at North Cove Elementary for two years after moving into the area from Clemmons, North Carolina. She is a dedicated teacher and has become a leader among our staff.
Mrs. Moss grew up in Virgilina, Virginia on a tobacco farm. She graduated from Averett University in Danville, Virginia where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating she taught first grade at Upchurch Elementary School for three years in Hoke County. Her husband’s work relocated them to Clemmons where she taught kindergarten in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County School System for fifteen years. She was named the 2015 Teacher of the Year for Morgan Elementary School in Clemmons, North Carolina.
Mrs. Moss is married to John Moss and they have two boys, Joseph and Bailey. Her boys keep her very busy with swim team practice and playing soccer. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on her favorite basketball team, The Duke Blue Devils!
